Functional Herbal Therapy Primer

Description
This free course, taught by Lee Carroll, is the first of 24 modules in his Functional Herbal Therapy (FHT) certification program, provided by the Society of Wellness Nutritional Systems. It will overview the history and tradition of using plants as a medicine, as it builds a practical framework for using herbs in clinical practice. Lee will further discuss the importance of phytochemistry, introducing pharmacology and examining the physiological actions of herbs.

Our Applied Clinical Nutrition (ACN) certification program recognizes this free course, along with the successful completion of the quiz, for 1 elective independent study credit. Enrollees that participate in both the ACN and FHT will be eligible to fulfill all 20 elective hours for the ACN once they demonstrate the successful completion of 12 FHT modules.
